You most likely have the Mitsubishi 2.6L engine and the Mikuni carbs should only be worked on by someone that knows that carb well.
Those engines have a reputation for either running forever :) or forever a problem :evil:

I think that Butch is just a little bored since the christmas tree business has slowed down.

Seems they made 2 versions of the 2.6, one ran forever :mrgreen: and the other was forever in the shop.

When the lid is latched, is there any play in it indicating a loose latch assembly. How does the lid align with the body?
Otherwise check the weather stripping around the lid for deterioration and check the bottom and around wheel wells for rust thru.

My father bought it new and I have had it since 1987 and use it as a summer toy for criusing with the top down. Yours has been garage stored and very low milage should have a good bod...
