Re: Boy, did Chrysler go downhill after the K-car.

My sister's 1999 Intripid is coming up on 110K miles and with just regular maintenance and upkeep, she has never had any major problems with it.

Re: First time K car owner here!

Thank guys. I'm very familiar with the differences between the 2.0l/2.4l engines and the 2.2l/2.5l engines, but I was just wondering if the 2.5l had a similar head gasket failure issue as the early 2.0l did. It seems to be rare that you find a pre-'99 2.0l that has NOT had the head gasket changed t...

Re: Is it illegal in California to take car to home mechanic....

The State of California only cares about the fact that you PASS Smog and that a Certified Station does the TESTING. You can fix your car yourself if you know what you're doing. The Certified Station only lets you know why you are not PASSING. Once the car is repaired by you, or whomever, you go bac...

Re: First time K car owner here!

"WELCOME!!!!" It's always great to find out that another K-Car has been saved from oblivion! Replacing a headliner is probably around $120, but what you ready need to have checked out is the Head Gasket. I have 60,000 original miles on my 2.5 liter, and the head gasket said bye-bye around...
