Re: The sad Chevette story.

Father in law had a Chevette Scooter 2-dr, drove it into the ground. Sister in law had a Chevette sedan that she drove completely out of oil until it melted together! (learned the hard way that blue smoke out the pipe was not a good thing!)

Re: New Member 1981 Reliant

Great car Justin. Haven't seen a plaid one since 1980! Look at the top of the door panels on the inside as they run along the window. Is there a seperate piece of horizontal plastic, used for the arm rest along the window, or do the door panel's vinyl trip wrap all the way to the window as the do on...

Re: The TRUE defination of a RARE car

Love that Thunderbolt! The Newport dual-cowl showcars that toured with the T-bolts way back when are neat too! I love rare cars, have always researched all the old cars I have had, found some gems over the years. My '82 Spring Special is probably the rarest original numbers matching car I have had, ...

Re: 2.2 engines and pass. side mirrors

As far as I know, all K's could be had with the chrome or black passenger mirror, as well as the chrome or black on the driver's side. I remember when I bought a Reliant new in 1981 that the chrome driver's mirror cost me $50 more than the standard one. I thought that chrome mirror was the neatest t...

Re: How can I restore my interior, the cheap way?

here is a floormat tip: The '88-mid 90's Dynasty and New Yorkers (with same body style) used the same footwell stampings that all the K cars had. I got a set of blue carpeted floormats from a Dynasty in perfect condidtion for only $ 10.00 and put them in the K for a perfect fit. Not totally original...

Re: President Reagans K-Car limo for sale.

Just a thought, I have sat in a K car limo version with the wall, if you are near 6' or taller you DO NOT want one of these cars, unless you will be riding in the back. You won't fit and be comfortable, no reclining in these cars Also, this is not Reagan' s car, the ad says it was used by the secret...

Re: White wall tires

Gook luck on the tires, have looked for years for the same correct tire, no where to be found anywhere in the 13" size. Firestone has 13" narrow whitewalls available now, around $ 50 each, you may have to order them. They are not correct, but the closest thing I could find for my '82 with ...
