Re: 1982 Chrysler Lebaron Convertable Mark Cross parting out

I am looking for a few parts from your '82, if in very good to excellent condition: 3 pieces of chrome trim (both sides and the one in the middle over the license area) on the lower rear edge of the trunk lid and the attachment screws. Power trunk release button in glove box, the wiring from it to t...

Re: Wet, Miserable Car Show

I will try to post the pictures later on this afternoon.

Justin; Yes, you and your '81 need to go to the Belvidere show next spring, it is called Little Hershey, I have been going to that show with an antique car, as a swap meet vendor, or both for over 20 years! Great place.

Wet, Miserable Car Show

The 34th Annual show in Beloit, WI was again one of the bad ones. First, they stick my car in "Special Interest" with the tuners, VW, cobra replicars and of course the "Betty Boop" car. Poured down rain off and on, got some water damage to my car show signs, wet and bleak. A tour...

Making Believers out of Show Spectators

Interesting that when I have my '82 at a show, the number of people who think the car is modified by it's 2 tone paint and the luggage rack on the trunk. I have all sorts of rare info and literature that I display with the Spring Special, showing it's paint and trim, even try to explain the data pla...

Re: update on the 1981.5 Plymouth Reliant

Yes, I kind of miss my former 81.5, but it is in good hands now. My '82 Spring Special loves getting all of the attention now that it's garage=mate has found a new home!

Going to a major show in Beloit, WI this Sunday, slim chance for any trophy, but might post a pic or two afterwards..

Re: Voice your opinion. 83 Aries makes article and gets bashed

Being one of the few people around who had bought a new K car (Reliant) in 1981, as well as a new X car (Skylark) 1985, I think I have a good perspective on all this. I liked the article 83 Aries wrote, it is very good, but alot of the comments seem to be from people who are trying to evaluate the K...

Show Strategies??

What are some of your best show strategies for winning??? Haven't had too much luck around here, most of the shows always turn out to be big ones where my K gets buried amist a herd of musclecars and seems to get lost. Yes, I have complete signage, detailed engine compartment and the rest of the car...

Re: What 1980s Chrysler car has survived the best

Few if any 80's Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge cars in any numbers around here, but still alot of Dodge Trucks being ran into the ground, so I would have to vote for them!

Long time since I seen an Omni/Horizon in anywhere near decent shape

1981 Memories of a wrecked K Car

Was thinking about a wrecked K car I seen back in 1981 around Chicago. I had already bought mine and already was thinking about what it would look like with an upgraded SE interior. At a gas station, i seen a wrecked 1981 Reliant with a for sale sign. The car's front and back were totally smashed, i...

Re: K-car V.S X-car in 2010

Great classic pic! History shows that the K did turn out to be a better car than the X. (That is actually an 1985 Skylark, unless someone upgraded the grill and the chrome between the tailights) I ordered one of them at the end of December, 1984, a couple of days before they stopped taking any more ...
