Intermediate Shaft Support Bearing (Turbo LeBaron GTS)

Postby sonofjabba » Mon Sep 20, 2010 2:09 am

I'm restoring a 1986 Lebaron GTS I have EVERYTHING I need but I cannot Locate a New Intermediate Shaft Bearing!!!! I know it's actually an H-Body Not a K.... Whatever. It has some stuff I nabbed off an 88 Aries

2.2L Turbo (Vin E) Automatic. Car is within a week of reassembly and I WANT either a new bearing or I'm just going to toss in the old one and pray the rosary 400 times that it is still ok after living in the side tool box of my Ram50 for 3 weeks trying to get one... :x

If it's bad my last resort is a long shaft... I hate doing crap twice, and butchering chyrslers design.... but oh well... Parts are getting scarce......

List of replaced parts,

Long Block (Engine Block & Head)
Rebuilt Turbo (Turbosunleashed.com) (Also have their Braided line kit)
Radiator (6 months old)
Heater core (6 months old)
Rack & Pinion
Power Steering Pump & Lines
Control Arm Bushings
Strut Rod Bushings
Ball Joints
Tie Rods
Sway Bar Bushings
Quick-Struts (Entire Strut Assembly) Monroe
Hub Bearings
CV Axles (Both) & Output Seals in Trans
All Motor & Trans Mounts.
Complete waterworks, Pump, Failsafe Thermostat, Hoses.....
Brake Booster (Old one was Rotted out)
Calipers, Rotors & Pads.
External Trans Cooler! Trans was rebuilt by previous owner. Shifts like a Race Car! I love it! Not Sluggy at ALL HA!

I have the parts for (134A Retrofit) including a very recently done Compressor and HP line (Thank You Harry's U-Pull-It) Fresh Rear Drums, Tires, and some other odds and ends.

I've done major surgery to this car. I feel sorry for the poor bastard at NTB when I get it aligned.... HA HA HA HA HA It will be it's first Test trip...
