Getting started and loading pics?

Postby jed1977K81 » Sun Jan 16, 2011 5:54 pm

Hey all, I am just getting started here and would like to jump right in. Where do I start? LOL. Kind of new to this Forum thing. Also, how do I load pics of my ride? Also will be in need of parts help. Thanks Jay

Welcome to the club. This site has some downloading flaws and we have been posting links to picasa. If you have a picasa account its easy to link to you message. You have a rare car and we would love to see it.

Like this

If you haven't done so already, find a host such as photobucket and upload the pictures you want to post to it. Then, when you are ready to post, select the option below the picture entitled img, copy it and paste it into your post. The only thing I haven't been able to figure out as of yet is how to resize the picture (often, Forums have an option an administrator can put into effect that will limit the size of the picture in the post to save space and memory, but enable a viewer/reader to click on it to enlarge to full size).

This board can't hold the storage qouta, unless you guys email your pics to me at aries89@chryslerkcar.com. I have done this for so many others. I try to see what our webmaster can come up with.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by the storage quota?

Is it a hardware issue such as the server or computer supporting the K-car website does not have enough memory to support storing everyones photos, or is a configuration issue in how the board is set up?

Its a memory issue. That is why I have a huge picassa account that I store members rides photos for the club site. Just email em to me, if you want, and I upload them for free and post a link.

Did you ever consider what the cost would be to the club to upgrade to a server with enough memory to support direct photo storage? Maybe it is too expensive or too much trouble - just an idea.

I think we active members should pool some funds together to help update the site. If we collectivly work together we can improve this site without anyone going to the poorhouse. Either that or we should charge a nominal fe to all members.
What do you think?
