Simply not worth the time and effort...why put in a 3.8 V6...its about as dumb as dumb can get...if you want to be noticed at stop lights, drop in a turbo charged 2.2...or 2.5... the electronics for the 3.8 will not work in a K body....Go with turbo...

Hi,

I'd be interested in some parts from that imperial for my '92. I had a 91 back in 94 and LOVED IT! Between me and my Bro we put 279K on it and it still looked new. I finally found one worth buying a couple weeks ago... a 1 owner (sadly he didn't clean it much) well maintained white one and it's really fun. I'm looking for a few things depending on the int/ext. color.

Feel free to drop me a PM and we can chat more.

PS: The rear end and shocks fit in the K Car?? That's a bit of a surprise but a great thing for you.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with that 82 LeBaron 4dr of yours? Here is what you should do. Call Joseph Henning of Burbank, California at 818-848-1091
with the 500,000 miles original on his 2.6 wagon. He can almost definitely solve your problem. He is an 85 year old car guy with a lot of experience and tell him Guy referred you. 8-)

The 82 4dr. isn't starting at the moment but with 16 cars right now (GEEZ! HOW SAD... I'm the automotive equivalent of a cat lady!) I've got enough other things to work with/on. Other than that It hasn't been a problem. I was looking for a sending unit for my boy's 83 LeBaron Mark Cross convert. We found that NOS (I actually bought the last 2 they had since I have a couple other 2.6's now.

That's so great to hear that he's got a wagon with that much on it... I've never had a 2.6 (none in our family, ALL 2.2's) before and was quite 'scared' of them before. My 82 convert. runs like a dream though.

I've decided I need to find an 82 2dr. and TnC Wagon so I can "collect the whole set"! :)

Have you finished your conversion :?:

In regards to the comment above....1) it's a lot more power without the premium fuel expense. 2) the donor car is available. 3) none others like it.

grab EVERYTHING from the donor car as a package. basically you should just be reusing the body and interior of the K car. all the chassis, brake, and suspension parts should be swapped

Have you done a compression test on the 82 LeBaron 4dr? Any way you can make a video of it running, or attempting to run?

Ray, I am dead serious. If things ever come to a head where you are forced to sell off your 10 K-Cars, they need to be sold into a museum. This club has absolutely no money
or referrals with which to start a K-car museum. Even better, you could start a museum on your property where basically it could start off as a reservation type thing where
you need to make a reservation to see the cars, and then maybe as time goes on, you could make them available to the public. We also have a K-car collector named Nick Pinzelburg in San Diego that has 6 of them.
