Does anyone know where the transmission control solenoid is located on my 1988 New Yorker? I have a 3.0. Thanks

Yes that is the part...thank you. Each auto parts dealer has a different name for this gizmo. Rockauto calls it a transmission control solenoid. How sure are you about it being in the pan? Thanks for your expertise, time, and help.

Its mounted (bolted) to the throttle body, and you have to at least remove the pan to replace it. I am not sure if the throttle body also has to come out to replace it. I will send you a private message with some more information.
