84 E class TURBO! Rare?

Pics to come.. Never seen one before until this past weekend.
I bought a 4 door ,Gold in color, two tone light/dark brown.
Bench with center arm rest and full load of power goodies that still work.Including the computer voice reminder!
Needs floor work but it is currently still on the road and the turbo still works!!
Just wondering how many of these family rockets were built??
I am sure the numbers are low and even today....when was the last time you saw one??
Like my other k car, no collectability but sure is a conversation piece.
Essentially a 400/600 with New Yorker appointments.
