I am new to this and was wondering what the differnce is between a Mark Cross and a non. I have a 1982 Lebaron Convertible that I want to sell and I would like to know what the difference is. I have inherited the car and want to sell it in order to buy my daughter a car that is practical for her as she goes to University in Northern Ontario. I also have a 84 Dodge 600 Convertible(needs to be restored) and a 85 Lebaron Convertible parts car. Any info would be appreciated. Bruce Brown

Mark Cross was a very old leather company (started back in the 1800s) that made all sorts of things like handbags and such. The company doesn't exist anymore, but you can read about their history on the internet. The Mark Cross LeBarons have "Mark Cross" leather interior which is basically the seats and door panels. There is a Mark Cross emblem on the door panels and an embossed emblem on the head rests on the seats. Anyways, I'm sure there are others on this forum with much more expertise than me, but that's the general gist of it.

The Mark Cross Edition has the brown leather of course, and it will have power windows, door locks, cruise, cornering lights (in lower front fenders) and a few other things as standard features that set it apart from the standard LeBaron.
This is a photo of my Mark Cross interior.

The Mark Cross Lebaron cars have leather seats, and power windows and stuff like that. They are a little nicer than the standard Lebaron

Brown wasn't the only option. There were several color schemes available in the Mark Cross. At least four, maybe five.

To clarify thie colour issue, the 1982 LeBaron Mark Cross was only available as shown above. I do not have spec. sheets for other years colours.
I will scan the info I have and hope is large enough to read.
