Engine Swap for Alan the K-Car.

Can anyone tell me here what the risks would be in putting a 1992 Chrysler 2.5 engine from an acclaim directly into the 1989 Dodge Aries Coupe? My original engine is a 2.5 with
single fuel injection throttle body. Could I still keep all the 1989 wiring and sensors that are working just fine?

I think it would work out as I think by 1989 all the 2.5's were "common block" engines as they were called. I would keep all the 89 electronics and wiring and just use the basic engine assembly. I would carefully check all the basic engine mounting points and make sure the bolt patterns are the same.
