Have an '86 Chrysler laser that I got for free as a summer off-road car... A friend has 10 acres of land for a dirt track to play with. It's only real problem is random stalling, mainly at low RPM. After hooking the speed sensor back up, unhooking the AIS once it had a stable idle (to eliminate the possibility) the car will still stall itself, so the only thing left is the Hall-Effect Probe thing. Which, looks junkyarded, but new. As is the rotor. So, how does one go about testing the HEP to see if it's good or not. And, between autozone, advanced, NAPA, etc, who typically caries the cheapest one.
