other than 2 bolts instead of 3 on the strut towers you should be able to swap out the entire chassis for something more race friendly like a shelby daytona, etc.

how does this car come to have a 5 speed? is it the early rod shifted version with the 5th gear added to the case (as the 4 speed was designed to allow) or is it a later model cable operated trans from an 87 up car (which would require fab work to move the shock mount for the trans shock, swapping the k frame to '87+ or using a spacer).
