That two tone brown paint really is sharp on that coupe. Its too bad that they didn't continue with the two color paint jobs into the 2nd gen K cars.

Val61. Glad you enjoyed my posting of cars for sale on Craigslist. What I do is to go on individual Craigslist sites and run queries for the various K models. I usually start in Hartford, Ct as this is my home area, then concentrate on major metropolitan areas across the country. I think I have the best luck in the Northeast, particularly in New York City, Northern and Central NJ, and across Pennsylvania - try Philly, Scranton, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. You can do the same in other parts of the country, but I find most of the cars near major metro areas. The more sparsely populated states like Nebraska, Wyoming or Montana usually have little or nothing, but you can always try if you have time. Washington State is pretty good for old cars too. I found a few nice ones in the Seattle area. Ohio is another good state to look in. One thing about Craigslist is that even if there are no K's posted on that actual site, it will pull in cars from surrounding areas.

There used to be an independent site called Craiglook.org that was able to tap into the automotive listings for all of the Craigslist sites across the country. But Craigslist threatened the owner with legal action and had it shut down. This was fantastic while it was up, because it is now pretty much hit or miss. I'll have to admit that until fairly recently, I never thought much about looking for cars on Craigslist, but I now find more there than on the traditional auto websites like Autotrader and Cars.com. Unfortunately, most of the K's I now find are Lebaron convertibles. The coupes and sedans are getting pretty scarce, especially the first gens. Early Dodge 400 convertibles are also very rare. I haven't seen a Dodge 400 convertible since the one I found on Long Island last summer. That was a nice looking car - it was an '82 and it was the Manila Creme color. Wish I could have bought it. Some day, I want to get a T&C convertible - either an '84 or an '85, but I'm a little short of funds right now. Aren't we all!
