Well, I may have to part company with my convertible...Not sure yet...somethings come up that might make it necessary.
I need some input, so here's the complete lowdown....
1984 LeBaron Convertible 2.2....80,000 original miles, third owner.
Original spoked wheelcovers, complete with pentastar insets.
Clean engine, no leaks. Pristine trunk, carpet and spare with jack cover.
New Top, top frame sprayed, rebuilt hydraulics. Glass rear window. (spring '07)
New driver and passenger side window motors.
No evident cancer or rust issues (can't find, and Ive looked hard.)
New Battery, Coil, wires, pickup, thermostat, front calipers, rotors, whitewall tires, exhaust. (spring '06)
Dashboard pristine, no cracks or sun damage. Speakers replaced,(dash and rear). JVC am/fm/cd with Chrysler dash and harness conversion kit, have original PLL tuner with cassette.
24-26 mpg non oxygenated gas......oil changed every 3-4000 mi
Daily summer driver (Apr-Oct).
Needs.....
Interior: Carpet bucket (sun faded), brittle plastic on interior door well trim. A\c seals (compressor ok last time used, won't hold a charge). Cruise control inoperative. Drivers seat needs vinyl repair at left bicep level (my upholstery guy said it's basically just urethaning a vinyl panel over, then spray dyeing the interior to match). Horizontal surface paint delamination on trunk (just beginning no hood). Drivers and passenger window slipping, tracks need alignment.
I estimate it needs about less than $3000 to finish If the cosmetics were done (interior and exterior),; mechanics probably another 700.
I'm thinking about asking $3200. Too cheap or too much? What does anyone think....Thanks...Rich
