My 93 manual says that the vehicle speed sensor is locatd on the extension housing of the transaxle on vehicles with 3 speed automatic. I suspect its the same location on the 88. Another web site lists it as the rear of the transaxle. There seems to be a neutral safety switch and torque convetor clutch solenoid located near the dipstick on the 3 speed auto transaxle in 93.
I'm not sure about the location of the other part. One website says it located on right front fender (next to one to 3 other solenoids)

So, last Saturday i started the car and disconnected the part throttle solenoid, (the solenoid on the right fender, right in front of the strut tower) and have had no engine stalls up to now, yay, not sure if it has ever worked since i have had the car. I have not noticed any change in the way it drives since i unplugged it
