Hand Delivered Mail! Great News for our Club!

So its 11:25PM here and at 11:20 I got some mail hand delivered from a government courier. Sounds boring but it was a list from the MTO of all listed and registered 1980's Chrysler cars in the K-Body. And for my Wellington County I have the addresses of 156 registered K-Owners as well as phone number's. It was apparently delivered by the Office of the Premier, Dalton McGuinty. He is pleased to see a Club like ours open in this province and told me a story about his first car his parents old 1983 Dodge Aries Wagon with the 2.6. This is the man in charge of running the province of Ontario and he personally sent me mail using his courier service. He also included a cheque for $300 to put towards my car, government money but I'll take it. He told me to call if I saw a cash for clunkers type system scrapping K-Cars as he doesn't want it too happen as he knows how good of milage that they get. Guess what? He was happy with his 2.6 and got 457,000km out of it. So many people I need to find! Squeel!

You will have to check to see if I am on the list to verify its accuracy and what other owners are in my area.
Will give you a chance to break down the list to see what kind of stats you can get from it.

First off, Martin this is a list for my county, so your missing sadly. Second bad news, from this list I find 120 cars exactly are registered to the Bell Canada Telephone Company, which is bad because it is a major corporation that is extremely uninterested in joining apparently after I called them to see if they'd like to be an unpaid sponser. And after calling all these people only 16 are still being driven. The rest are just people who scrapped them and never took them out of the register. And of the 16 still going only 7 want to meet me, the rest polietly for once said they'd look but weren't overly interested. So I have a calender of people to meet over the next week. I won't give names for privacy reasons but I will list their cars,
Person 1: 1981 Reliant Base 1,247Km (I almost fainted at this! Is this the lowest first gen out there?)
Person 2: 1988 600 Sedan 184,723km
Person 3: 1983 Caravelle 55,557km
Person 4: 1988 Chrysler New Yorker Turbo 34,580km
Person 5: 1982 LeBaron 89,941km
Person 6: 1989 Aries Coupe 117,338km
Person 7: 1987 Aries Sedan 45,730km
So wish me luck!
P.S. The rude man at Bell connected me with their transport division and I'm headed to a private Pass Holders only auction of 12 Aries/Reliant Wagons and some Ram Vans and tonnes of Caravans on the 22nd. No Reserve, I'm number 19 of 20 people invited! Man if I can one or two K's really cheap it would be great club publicity!

For those of us in America, remember that we have very strict privacy laws, not to mention the National Do Not Call list. I'd hate for some of you to get in trouble procurring personal information on folks and cold calling people.

Hey Will, good job. At least you found 7 potential members. I'll bet that list was 10 years old. I also am sure there is more K-cars in your county then what was listed.
After all, I don't know about Canada, but here not everyone is listed in the phone book. It would be really nice to get that 83 Caravelle into the club. We have never seen one,
most of us will never see one, unless you can get a picture of it as they only made 1,200 of them in 83. The Caravelle is special and was made only in Canada as a coupe and a sedan
from 1983-1985. We Americans only got the sedan version starting in 86.
