Just hit 155,000 miles. Car is really getting used.

I notice my car is getting more used than it used to. It gets borrowed by family members when cars go into the shop and I racked
up an extra 3,000 miles this last month. This car is certainly getting used much more than most K-cars today. And, it is only about 22. Guess what, despite its issues, its not quitting or failing to start. So far, I have put on 103,000 miles.......... I drive Alan 7 days a week sometimes and all the time. My only car and means of transportation. I guess I really live the 80s.

So, if you guys saw my car, you would notice a few scratches, some wavy dents from other people, and some wear and tear. But, hey I live in Los Angeles and have to negotiate debris and morons on a daily basis. At least from a foot away or so, the car looks almost perfect.

I am getting close to 99,000 miles.On the road 5-6 days a week.
I got it at 92K miles.Been on the road for me for less than a year now.
I always use it for short jaunts around town as well.
Live it,enjoy it,drive it,flaunt it....
Its something maybe only one other has in town (if even that many)...
How many cars can you say that about?
Edsel?
DeSoto?
Vega?
Pinto?
Gremlin?
Chevette?

I wonder what people think when they see a near mint shape Aries wagon running around?
"Gee,I used to have one of those"
Or
"Wow,I thought all of those were scrapped by now..."

Well, mine is at 172,000 now. It actually ran GREAT this last weekend. Since replacing the fuel filter, gas mileage is now back up to almost 28. I am happy.

Well, the car died again. But, it restarted. It is running almost like a new car, but then decides to quit either at a stop or going 75 once every two weeks. I think
it might just be an electrical short. Everytime my car quits, I get a code 12. I hope, I hope this will solve my problem. Ran good today.

I have crank windows, cassette player with static, 4 speaker sound system hanging in there, flickering clock, maplight and trunklight that never burned out, red bucket seats,
automatic where the center console is, etc.
