After mass, Father Sanchez, Uncle, Brother Leonard, Myself, and my grandmother went to the 1948 restaurant called the Colonial Restuarant in San Marino, California. San Marino is the most preserved antique neighborhood in most of LA area where rich people and senior citizens live in 50-100 year old houses and store rare classic cars in garages. So, I see this 1962 Mercuy Comet 4dr Sedan parked at the restaurant. Turns out Father bought this 48 year old a few weeks ago as his only car for $700 and got rid of his 90s cars since he said he could work on a Comet, but nothing newer. He had had a Comet before. The restaurant was almost deserted, except it was served by young immigrant waiters while the customers were mostly in their 80s and 90s. As we left the restuarant and watched Father leave. an original AMC Ambassador convertible from the 1960s pulls in. As I drive away from the restaurant, I see a 1962 Dodge Lancer 2dr Hardtop drive by and then a 74 Caprice coupe. This all added to a very satisfying car spotting day, which included the 2 K-cars.
