I've replaced my '88 Reliant with a 2011 Prius. I have no room in the driveway for the Reliant so I need it moved soon.
I know there are folks that prize K Cars. If I donate it to a charity, it'll just be sold for scrap, I think, so I'd rather it go to someone that'll drive it or part it out to benefit other K Car owners.
$300 is what I can get for scrap. Make an offer.
White
114K original
4 Door
I bought it 5 years ago from the original owner who was 92. It had 66K miles, an afghan wrap across the back seat, round shag rugs for front mats and a big coffee can full of sand in the trunk in case of snow. A classic Gramma car!
I don't think anyone has ever been in the back seat.
Alpine head unit with Alpine speakers.
Engine has had Castrol Hi-Mileage since I've owned it.
Brakes, including rotors and Raybestos calipers 18 months ago.
Tires a year ago.
Tune, wires, plugs and throttle body & injectors cleaned 18 months ago.
Alternator 3 years ago.
Ball joints 5 years ago.
Transmission fluid is pink.
The bad:
Heater core leaks so I've shunted the coolant lines to prevent further brain damage. This is what motivated me to replace the car.
A/C worked real well until last year. The clutch is good so I suspect a little leak.
Wiper linkage squeeks like hell intermittently. Not the blades.
Battery's pooped. It'll start the car but not if you leave the lights on like I did at the Toyota dealer
