By a miracle, I stumbled upon my first 1981 Chevy Chevette 4dr Hatchback in the parking lot today, with Washington plates. The owner was poor,
and loved his car so much, and was still driving it despite a terrible accident. It had been rearended and was a foot shorter in the back. The frame
was compromised, but he drove it anyway.

Father in law had a Chevette Scooter 2-dr, drove it into the ground. Sister in law had a Chevette sedan that she drove completely out of oil until it melted together! (learned the hard way that blue smoke out the pipe was not a good thing!)
