Most K-car cassette players by now dont work and are being replaced with the newer ones that dont have a knob to change stations. well im one of those people that have been looking for one of these Precision lock Am/Fm cassette players. i found one out of a 1986 dodge ram charger i couldnt belive i thought i would never find one of these radios, but i did.

That is a rare find. Junk yard? There are no K cars in the junk yards here in Utah. At least none that i have found.

I have one from a 95 Caravan but I swapped it out for a JVC CD player because the tape deck looked to modern compared to my 87 AM/FM Stereo. I plan to put the original back in and go for a hidden CD player with stacked tape deck under the front seat.
FYI, A stacked tape deck can hold 6 tapes and switch automatically.

Hi there!
I have a 1986 Town and Country. I tried the Quartz unit. Great radio reception, but the cassette was kind of clunky in operation. I upgraded to a 1988 Chrysler Infinity II Cassette unit with the Equalizer, and connected the optional Chrysler Slave CD player. Since my wagon has the center console, it was a marriage made in 80's heaven! I love the "stadium sound"!
Giving you my best,
Tom
