cold cars

Postby 88 aries » Thu Jan 15, 2009 12:33 am

its soo cold here in wisconsin i think its about -7 and getting colder, helped one K-car owner the other day, it was the low mileage carburated one with 51,000 miles with lots of abuse done to body, here 4 kids the same age as me sitting cold in the young ladies aries, couldnt get it started, so i pushed the gas pedal to the floor and the little 2.2 carburated engine fired right up. I REALLY WANT TO SAVE THIS CAR,

Ripped headliner
dented left front fender
dent in the door
cracked dash broken headlight bezel
rust holes are starting to form

and only 51,000 original miles it even has the original floormats

What a shame

We had a nice warm day of 83 degrees today and we seem to have shaken off that cold spell before Christmas where we froze at 30 degrees in the morning. That was the low for 2008. I drive my car EVERY day.

It almost done couldn't afford to have all the work done at a body shop just needs a semi warm day to paint and pinstripe!

Send that little carb'd K car my way, I'll save it, especially if 81-83! It is amazing that even the old forgotten junkyards don't have any hiden away anymore.

its good to hear that the body work is almost done, i repainted my reliant on a fairly warm dry day, and it turned out nicely, just dont do it on a really hot day with lots of humidity.

oh and for the person who wants that carbed K-car the Plate number is 731-LME if you want to get in contact with the owner
