well I bought a used CB radio combo off of ebay, Its in nice shape, has the mic, the faceplate is missing though, and I gotta install the chrome buttons from 1981, the date on the radio says 1979, and since jim wired the car for stereo speakers she will be a drop in, now the only part that needs changed is the antenna, it requires the transmeter. so it will not be going in until I find the rare antenna..I Missed the one on ebay for 99.00

I ran into a guy with an 82 Aries Coupe riding on original tires two months ago. It had a HAM radio. He declined to join us.

People still have CB radios!??? Wow!

That has to be more rare than a K-car.

I have a CB radio in my pickup. They can be a lot of fun, especially if you are in a convoy with others. Good luck on finding that antennae.

Did some operation research on this radio, you can use it as a regular am/fm (which I will for the time being) or you can have the CB interupt the radio station you are listening to or it can be a full time CB radio..anyhow this is going to make going to car shows all the more fun, people are going to flip when they see it has a CB, and reading in my 1981 Service manual; all I have to do is remove the plastic splash shield, this will give me access to the antenna, then all I will have to do is feed it through the dash..
