Do I have the only LeBaron sedan on here?

Here's my '85. This car has got quite a history with me; and my ex-girlfriend and I rescued it from the hands of a wrecking yard in 2005 with 59,000 miles. The original owner had traded it in at the Chrysler dealer I worked at after she rear ended someone (destroyed the front end; but still ran and drove!) I immediately ran to my boss and said I wanted to buy it and restore it. He thought I was crazy; so he sold it to us for $100. She needed a car; so her dad put forth the money to buy it and fix it up; and her and I "restored" to how you see here.

We always were good friends; and she promised me she'd offer it to me first if she didn't want it anymore. Well, her dad passed on in 2007; and the car failed emissions; and was parked in his garage under a cover from then until April of this year; when she called and said I could come and get her...with only 60,500 miles now! She said she took over her dad's new Saturn instead (ick) and kept her promise after all this time. I flew up the next day; and she sold me it for $100...again! A new set of plugs, a battery, fresh oil change and a tank of premium...and a good cleaning she started right up and drove the 380 mile trip back a day later gettin' 26 mpg with the a/c on without a hiccup!

I feel so lucky to have this beauty; and in the town where I live; K-Cars are so rare I always turn heads!

I have no idea if you are the only Lebaron Sedan owner in the club, but in my opinion, you definitely own the cleanest one! Your Ex is first class, and that was a damn fine thing for her to do. You are definitely a very lucky individual, and that is a very worthwhile vehicle to call your own. "CONGRATULATIONS"and "WELL DONE!!!"

nope theres a guy from cannada that has a blue 86 Lebaron, But yours is the best sedan lebaron ive ever seen, and a black one is very rare, whats the engine in it. chrysler's 2.2 or the mitsubishi 2.6 (aka the mr. squishy engine). again well done and very pretty. come check out my Trio of K-cars

Congratulations on your K-car! That is a beauty. We have very few members with the actual LeBaron sedan in this club. I think we have only 4. Yet, just about every other K model is owned by someone on this board. I don't understand why as they made at least 600,000 LeBaron sedans and coupes between 1982 and 1988. As much as I love the convertibles, they seem to being saved at the expense of the beautiful LeBaron sedans and coupes. I hate that. They now outnumber the other LeBaron Ks 10-1. The sedans and coupes are getting very hard to find online. We have a member in LA who has the first 1982 LeBaron Coupe 2.6 Mitsubishi Coupe with sunroof. Take care of that car. We need more people to save the LeBaron sedans and coupes. The sedans are definitely becoming very rare.

Its got the 2.2 engine. I guess I don't have the only LeBaron sedan! I do love this little car; except for days like today. It starts and runs fine for a few minutes; then does this horrible bucking and jerking in gear or at idle to the point that the car is not driveable. Like now...and I need to figure out how to get to work this week! I cleaned the connections to everything; but if you leave the key in the on position; you can hear the Powertrain Module clicking something fierce; and firing the injector repeatedly. Anyone want to start putting in offers? Don't want to sell to a non-K car lover...

Just spent $125 on a new computer in the last twenty minutes. Somehow; my local AutoZone had one in stock! So I'm putting it in tonight when the sun goes down. Since the car is outside...facing the sun...and that'll just irritate me more. LOL. Already have the beers cooling... ...for victory or damnation!

i have a 85 Aries and it too has the carbed 2.2, it does the same thing at idle or when just starting out, my carb is tuned to the max, but in order to keep it running i mess fludder the pedal when its still cold. check all of your vacume lines also.

Check your grounds with a DVOM, better yet run new ground to eng. + body. Doesn't take much resistence to play hell with the electronics.
