88 Aries and Baron, thank you for the compliments.
I have always liked the "Super K" LeBarons, Dodge 400s and 600s. When I was in high school, my neighbor was the plant manager for the Chrysler plant in New Castle, Indiana. He always had two new Chryslers in the driveway, and once I got my license, I got the opportunity to drive his Dodge Mirada, Dodge Shelby Charger, and my favorite, the Dodge 600 convertible. I have been a Chrysler fan ever since then.
When I found my '82 LeBaron in October 2008 with all of its documentation, I couldn't pass it up. The car is significant because it was the first American convertible back on the market since the 70's, and all of the original documentation was an added bonus. I'm getting a fresh convertible top installed next month, and she should be ready for the show circuit this summer. I hope to take her to the Mopar Nationals in Carlisle, Pa this summer.
I remember when these cars were brand new, they were so stylish and revolutionary compared to the competition at the time. Chrysler was really on its game. It's a shame to see the shape that Chrysler is in these days.
