My Reliants

Postby farmertom » Sun Jun 07, 2009 11:59 pm

Here are my two rides. I have two Reliants. The white one is a 1988 that is a retired Navy car. The Silver one is a 1986 and has 23,000 original miles.

Here is the 1988. It is my daily driver. I bought it off of Ebay for $475

Here is my 1986. It is in really good condition. I didn't win anything at this show but I did get a lot of compliments.

2 K-cars are always better than one, you should go to some mopar shows, there you prolly will win a trophy or two, 475 is a good bargain jack, but how does this one sound i got my 1986 Reliant for 150.00 with only 85,000 0n it back in 2007, now its got 98,000 and is completely restored from chassis to body :)

one piece of advice, when you show it you should get some tire shine for the tires. other than that it looks like new.

23,000 miles, that's incredible!!! Mine has 54K which is excellent, but you have one of the most well kept K-Cars I've ever seen. It certainly is a beauty, and shows serious 'pride-of-ownership'. I would have voted you the 'first place' trophy if I had been one of the judges!

Peace,

Chief

Here is a picture that shows the mileage on my 1986. I sometimes still can't believe how low it is for the age. It has something like 1,000 miles for every year.

Here are some pictures of the engine. I have done a clean up but nothing major. It was very clean to start with. You might be able to notice that the tested stickers from the factory are still stuck to the back of the alternator.

Here is the interior. The only thing wrong is that a piece of the ashtray is chipped off. If anybody has an extra dark blue ashtray than message me becuase I am interested in a different one.
