I love to see these old Town and Country wagons saved from extinction. They are getting so rare.

Yeah, but not as rare and totally unloved into oblivion like the luxury, fully optioned 1982 Dodge 400 Coupe for sale in Conneticut right now, 1 of 75 left in the world. There is also a fully decked out 82 LeBaron Sedan right now in Minnesota for only $500 but is fully intact. 1 of 100 left. Should really be advertised at $3500. I have a soft spot for convertibles and TC wagons, but they have stolen all the attention from the others Ks. These models I mentioned were fully optioned liked the LeBaron. I am grateful there is a classic car market for these convertibles and TCs now, it helps feed the membership into our club, but if I was a collector, I would collect these:

82-84 LeBaron hardtops
82-83 400 hardtops
83-85 600 Coupe/sedan
Chrysler E-Class
83 New Yorker.

Just the way I am. I annoyed people by "insisting" our cars gets saved and recognized and most could care less about getting rid of these models forever. So far, they have been almost completely successful. I will never find an 83 600. Did find an 83 400 Sedan in San Francisco thats sitting unused in a garage right now.

Oh yeah, did find the only known 82 400 sedan in California 6 months ago that ran and was registered. Seller was totally uncooperative and wanted nothing to do with this. It was up above Sacramento. Lost the car forever. Also, if anyone is interested, there is an 82 400 coupe sitting in San Pedro that hasn't ran since 2002. The old lady neglected it and let it go to hell basically, but could be resurrected.

Oh yeah, Nick, I almost forgot. I have several leads to TC wagons for sale right now. We had a record turnout of 4 TC wagons at our last meet, including Jay Thompson of the Palm Springs City Council who comes to our meet every year with his mint 84 TC Wagon 2.6. If you get one, we will be up to a fully functioning fleet of 5 TC wagons. Also, know of one in Hollywood that I might tag one last time in hopes of getting the owner into the club. I am wondering if I just accidentally found the owner David Freeman by accident as this car matches one I heard was owned by someone in Hollywood of the 101 Fwy. This car is an 86 and sits immaculate, and finally I can't seem to track down the other 86 TC wagon near my office that passes by all the time and I know of Two dead TC Wagons in the west valley and I have even ran into several this year and TC wagons seem popular here even though very rare...............

I think I can be your TC wagon guru representative. 8) 8) 8) 8)

I neal before my guru, LOL. If I find my nice wagon I'll sell the convertible and get a first generation sedan to go with it.
Does Jay drive a brown TC? I used to see one in the parking lot at City Hall.(I live around the corner). I haven't seen it for a while. Keeping out of the summer sun, I suppose. I have seen an 82-85 TC wagon going the opposite way on a divided highway and had to resist the urge to jump the median and chase him down.
Don't mine your nudging ways. It's called passion. You just want to make sure we have all models saved for the world to finally wake up and and appreciate. If or political leaders have half your umph, we would be in better shape today. But that kind of a discussion is for another forum.
Thanks again.

Thanks. I admit this whole car thing is my big obsession. I think that brown wagon at city hall you saw is the same
car that belongs to Jay Thompson. Small world. This little brown wagon has 40,000 miles on the 2.6. I don't know what it is about California, but there seems to still be a "findable" amount of old GM products, but very little Chryslers. Finally, after eons, there is right now a 77 LeBaron Coupe for sale in Glendale and I actually have ran into a few F bodies from 76-80 timeframe. But, I heard the LeanBurn issues with those cars all but wiped them out here due to California stringent smog codes. Wish I could find a Dodge St. Regis. In the badlands of LA, there are still a ton of donked out and worn 80s Caprices driving around....Well, I digress.

Lets face it, Lean burn, V8-6-4, gas to diesel conversions ruined the lives of some very nice cars of that era.

Sad news...the Town and Country Wagon in the post just threw a piston rod today. The rod put a hole in the radiator too.

I gave the car to my son last month and we had gotten a new carbureator and just finished installing his new radio, when it broke. I am afraid, unless I can come up with some economical way of fixing it...that It will be headed for the junk yard. I have had way too much fun trying to keep it going, and I really have fallen in love with it...its a sad day...
