The Chrysler K-Car Club

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself to the club and show a few pictures of my 86 Dodge 600 convertible. The Chrysler dealership that I worked at took it in on trade and the salesman knew I loved older Chrysler cars. It is in very good condition for its age and taking in account residing in the rust belt of New England. I really love the gunmetal blue paint as I haven't seen any other K cars in that color before. Looking forward to talking with all the other members with their love of these great, but very under appreciated fun little cars.

I gotta say, what a nice looking 600. The gun metal blue is unusual, and I'd be proud to drive it. Stats, please? Motor, mileage, etc.....Thanks

Hi Rich, thanks for the kind words. I've owned the car for about 3 years since buying it from the dealership. It's a 2.2 turbo with the ES package. It currently has 69,000 original miles. The conv top has been replaced by a previous owner, and it has had a repaint at some point. I wanted to find a set of aftermarket rims that were not too flashy or import tuner style, so I picked out the Mille Miglia II from tirerack.com. It's a 16x7 rim, and the tires are P205/50R16 that fit great without rubbing at all. Other than the rims and a gauge pod in the pillar for boost and an A/F meter, the car is mostly stock. I have a 1988 Daytona Shelby Z parts car that I am taking apart for the Shelby specific parts like higher rate springs, and sway bars, rear disc brakes, Turbo II engine w/intercooler, and 5 speed transmission, which will all finds its way on the 600 eventually.

Nice 600, check out my k-cars, they have trophies, plus i dont drive them in winter, my Reliant currently has 97,000 i bought i with 85,000 for 150.00 and put 2200 in to restoring the car. and my Aries has 180,000 on body and estimated 150,000 on the 2.5 engine.

i think a set of peperoni rims would look best on your 600

NICE 600ES!!! I have to say that I'm highly impressed with your wonderful looking 600!! I have one too, and mine is unusual as well, since it sports Daytona C/S rims that match the gold leather interior... I'll post a message with the picture attached. You and I should consider meeting up sometime... I'm in NB Canada so its' not tooooooo far away, and I'm ALLLLL about group pictures!!!
