Love the pics of the 81 88 Aries! Very nice ride!

Jacks1986lebaron, LOL, its all good. My Great Grandmother had a 57 Chevy when I was a kid, she bought it brand new, Thing never saw a coat of wax! She used Kerosene to shine her up. The car still loooked like brand new in the 90s when she died.

thanks, its the rarest of my K collection, I see our brake boosters are different, your more than welcome to use my photos of my car to detail your 81, looks like the carpet has seen its days, thats an easy fix, you could dye it, or find a K-car with red interior and swap carpet, and its odd how you got a such a basic black cluster, the car must be an el cheapo, as I dont see cruise or air conditioning nor tinted windows

If you're going to do the carpet, don't skimp. I redid the carpet in my 84, and the new carpet, color matched (Oxblood), I got from http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/. It was virtually a perfect fit, and I think cost $130.00. You can get the matching floor mats for a total of under $200. Plus, it gives you the opportunity to inspect and repair the interior floor prior to the installation.

Thanks Rich, I will look into that. It is a little frayed in a couple areas from the sun burning it up. I am thankful the rest of the interior is nice.
