Another '82 Mark Cross in the Club

Hi All,

Here are a few pictures of the new addition to my collection. I purchased this '82 Mark Cross convertible in October from a dealer in Sterling, Illinois who had it on consignment. I flew in and drove it home over 700 miles back to Buffalo, NY.

This was a model ordered in the Fall of 1981 as part of the early reservation program. I'll add pictures of the documentation from Lee Iacocca and the gifts sent to the original owner from Chrysler shortly.

Wow! Your car really looks nice. I have an '82 convertible, also. My parents purchased it new in 1982. I got it in 1986 and kept it. I now have 72,000 miles on it, and take it to local car shows. - Mike

Over the next few days, I'll post images of the letters, in date order, that were sent to the original owner from Lee Iacocca on Chrysler Corporation embossed letterhead, and the gifts that accompanied them. I'd be interested to know if any of the other Mark Cross owners out there still have these documents and gifts, or if they are as rare as I had hoped. Hope you enjoy viewing them.

I plan on doing a little detail work over the winter, and then enjoying the cruise nights and car shows next summer. I'm going to have to find a friend to drive my other Mopar to the shows so that it doesn't feel neglected.

That is one Beautifly preserved LeBaron and that documentation I am sure is very rare. Mine was bought new (by my Father) but was already on the dealer lot so I don't have anything other than the hand written copy of the bill of sale.

Here is the next letter and the crystal key. I did not get the Mark Cross key fob with the car, so I will be looking for one of those on eBay.
