We had a suggestion from a club member that we should start a "Mechanics Corner." Do we have any mechanics in the club that would like to get together and run the technical side of our forum. No forum experience is neccessary, just have to know a bit about cars.

I'm an apprentice mechanic and would love to provide my 2 cents when needed. I work on my own K so I know alot about them. Would be glad to help.

I have had my 86 Lebaron Convertable for about 12 years, Over the years I have almost totally rebuilt my car myself. I have a lot of time trying to figure out problems with the turbo cars. and I would be more than happy to share the information that I have with these cars.

I used to work at a Chrysler/Plymouth dealership during the K car heyday.(this place even had a vintage Mean Mary Jean decal stuck on a glass window pane stating "We're #1!" with her thumb in the UP position).I could chime in every now and then for some help/advice.

i am not very good at this messaging type stuff, but i would be more than glad to try and help by fielding some of the concerns of other enthusiast.

Here's a hint everyone knows and if not when you do your oil changes, empty in a whole bottle of Lucas Motor Oil Treatment then top the rest up with your choice of oil. It worked for me I can actually feel the car running smoother at all speeds and especially idle. It works.

Me and my father know alot about the chrysler 2.2 and 2.5 engines, we have owned 4 of them

we have done everything from headgaskets to underbody

I'd be glad to help! I'm good at "splaining" stuff to the novice.
I also hit the wrecking yards often. So I can scout, pull, and mail parts to members.
Then, I can "splain" how to install them.

Question? ........ I have an '87 LeBaron T & C wagon with a bad digital instument panel. Can't read it in the daytime. The rheostatic action on the light switch does NOT work. What is the problem? Allen Martin. e-m a-pmartjr@mocksville,com
