Pete the car has 92,000.
I checked pretty much all the connections while I had the p.s kick panel off, unplug, looked for crud, nothing, replugged.
This may or may not be of any value as far as info goes...but, 4 thousand miles ago.....I had the fuel pump, fuel sock, fuel filter replaced.
It ran better than it ever had.................for about 50 miles...
Then it reverted back to the way it had been running, which was a slight hesitation at highway speed (55mph-60), which finally someone with knowledge of the cars, UNPLUGGED the CT sensor, then set the timing, then plugged it back in, took care of hesitation, but still seemed like it did not have very much power. Even after timing was set correctly, it did not seem like it had much power, and the hesitation has reared its ugly head now and then, until what I have now is this loss of power under acceleration (sometimes) and gas mileage that went from 27 mpg highway with the air on, to 20 mpg withOUT the air on.
But for those 50 miles of driving it right after the fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel sock was replaced, it was like drivng the car the way it was new. smooth, responsive, as far as a 4cyl. with 90 hp goes and the pick up was good.
Then all of a sudden after the 50th mile was put on it, it reverted right back to the way it was before fuel pump, etc: was replaced.
I was so happy for those first 50 miles, I thought I had finally found the problem.
Anyways... I will check those connections up by the battery, especaily to the power module...
Thanks for the info
