1984 Lebaron Turbo Overhead

Postby 84Lebaron » Sun Nov 17, 2013 7:27 am

Another issue...
Were getting down to the last two though.
I have a Chrysler Lebaron 2.2 Turbo, checked out by a mechanic, digital dash. When I drive it, the engine temp fluxuates from almost overheating, back to normal, overheating for a second, getting about 3/4, just jumping around. I measured the temp when the gauge was in the middle and the head read around 160 degrees. I think it may be the fan, but I am not sure.

I did some tests - when the heater is on, the car will overheat.
Next time I have the cooling system apart, I'll drill the thermostat too.
