Hey, guys.
I could use some help finishing up with a couple of what should be easy fixes.
I had a Power Loss light giving me a "22" (Coolant Temp Sensor). I replaced the Coolant Temp Sensor and repaired a broken wire with a butt connecter.
Then I got an Engine light, which started very dim and brightens up after about a minute, along with the Power Loss light and the same code "22". Then the audible warning that my engine was overheating.
It's definitely not overheating, so after checking a couple of other things, I ordered a new PCM (had a similar problem in the past and the shop I took my car to fixed the problem with a new PCM).
The new PCM didn't do anything, so I'm not sure what to check next.
Do you guys think the butt connector on the lead to the Coolant Temp Sensor is throwing off the reading/resistance? Would it be better to try to fix the wire by soldering or something?
Thanks in advance for any help.
