Just bought a 82 Lebaron convertible in pristine shape, all except for the idling problems. Read alot about changing over to a Weber carb as the Mikuni's are hard if not impossible to bring up to snuff. At least that's the vibe I am getting. I don't do my own work. Also the seller told me he had the carb rebuilt. So i am thinking of just going with a Weber K614 kit. Is this a bolt on, as in yank off all the hoses on the Mikuni and attach them to the Weber after installing? I understand there may be some linkage mods that have to be done.
What do you guy's think?
Thanks, I am a newbie to this group.

I would try checking further as to what is wrong with your current carb. My '82 ran poorly and I was checking into the conversion after I got it. I knew the car was rarely driven so added 2X the amount of Sea Foam in a couple tanks of gas and ran much better, but still problems. Found out my EGR valve and a thermo sensor with vacuum lines attached were bad. Fixed and runs great now.
