My goal is to hit all the So. Cal pick-a-part yards monthly and update you all with photos. I went splunking tonight
and for $44 I cannibalized a K and got a computer and two headlight lenses and bezels for $44. Pics soon to follow.
There were 4 Kcars in the entire yard. They were a:
Brown 1985 Dodge Aries 2.6 sedan
1986 Dodge 600 2.2 sedan
1987 Plymouth Reliant Sedan
Another late 80s Reliant Sedans.
I was extremely surprised as they were absolutely no LeBarons Ks. Maybe most of the convertibles
are now being recognized as true classics. A very positive though indeed.
Here in California, pic a parts are a rarity and they aren't many around in So. Cal. Here, I was among over 1000
cars. This pick-a-part scraps everything, except for a few 20 cars they try to sell whole to a willing collector.
They were virtually almost nothing before the 80s. I saw perhaps 10 70s and 2 60s. It seems they already dried up
here or our otherwise not being scrapped. Almost no early 80s, but tons and tons of 80s GMs. They were almost
no 80s Chryslers, except for the 4 K-cars and 10 M bodies. Here is a list of cars to rare here that should never have been
here, but unfortunately, they were Sorry Butch, I saw absolutely no L bodies or G bodies I'll come back
here in a few weeks.
1984 Oldsmobile Firenza SX 2dr Hatchback Coupe
1983 Chevrolet Cavalier Wagon
2 other 80s Cavis and 3 80s Skyhawks
A Citation
1978 Chrysler LeBaron Sedan
1970s AMC Eagle Wagon
1979 Pontiac Astre Coupe
1970s Lincoln Town Car
...and more
On the way home, I saw a mint Plymouth Caravelle and the familiar 86 LeBaron sedan stil alive and
on the road.
Pics to follow VERY soon.
