Turbo 4speed auto doable???

Hi guys new here.
Dont really know how to post a new here topic thread so Ill just ask my question.

I have a plymouth acclaim 1994 2.5L and a 3speed I ahve been told you can tell by the PRNDL? True? I ahve PRND2L. And also the stuped motor dropped a valve seat on number 4cyl and I am drivin it on 3cyl so I was thinking I would love to swap out to the turbo 4 this summer. Sucks to cuz the motor only has about 155000km on it. everything still works too. pw, ac all that. So if I can get my hands on a turbo 4 and a 4 speed auto how do I get this done and will the 4 be able to take the power?????

I know a turbo motor around here but I would love to have the DOHC lotus one thats like 224hp. but Il be happy with the 150hp turbo one. please let me know and any info and help you guys can give would be great.

Turbo IV engine is not worth it, they are trouble some, worse than a turbo III your best would be to go with a turbocharged 2.5 intercooled with 5 speed manual. stock your are good for 150 HP you can mod a turbo engine up to 300 HP

Transmission wise for 2.2/2.5

1981-1987 just a A 413 No lock up torque converter

1988-1995 A 413 with lock up torque converter

Wait ok I have found a 2.2 liter (I wanted 2.5 oh well) and its a 3 speed like mine with the LTC but even these trannys had problems. The car I have is on its therd tranny. Also a 4speed would be better on gas and smoother. I know not as much as the 5speed but this thing to me is like a luxary car I dont wanta be banging threw the gears in my old mans car. I wanna get in and just relax anywere I go!

Well with your edvise about the motors Ill stop dreaming then cuz last thing I want is more problems! But will 150hp pull hard in this car? I mean it is heavy!

the A 413 never gave problems not unless someone didnt take care of them, we had a K-car back in the 90's that went 375,000 miles and it still ran and drove. sadly the rust got her, but ya turbo 2.2 is a good engine, they can rev higher than a 2.5

and a 4 speed automatic? well that will not bolt up against a 2.2 or 2.5 engine.

But this car did come with a 4 speed no?

Also were on the car or trany can I cheack for engine code to see whitch one I have?

yes they came with a 4 speed automatic but that was only offered in a 3.0 built by mitsubishi. how you check for codes is just like Older K-cars turn the key 3 times on off on off on. and watch how many times your check engine light blinks, if blinks code 55 the first time everything should be fine.

your most welcome for the info, 3.0's dont have the same class as a chrysler engine, and the 4 speed automatics can be put to death

Sorry I ment tranny codes anywere so I sould see just what tranny I had. Also man my car has BIG BIG pproblems thats why I am even doing this I said if the engine went then Ill swap it out for the turbo, if it did not Ill leave the car alone. So turbo it is!!!!

there was only one automatic for K-cars and that is the A 413 Auto, only the gear ratios were different 2.78 and 3.02
