I need to find rear axle swing arm bushings for an '81 Reliant. The Chrysler number is 4147857

try http://www.polybushings.com/

owner Johnny Spiva started out making poly engine and chassis bushings for all k based cars and now is branching off into other niche markets that the big companies (like energy suspension) don't bother with.

i will be running all his products on my 86 aries wagon to augment the 89 daytona shelby/cs suspension package and 2.5 turbo-intercooled engine! only items i don't already have are upper and lower rear spring as they are a recent development!

(forgot to log in before the last post)

you are getting quality polyurethane pieces that outlast and outperform the stock rubber that chrysler installed (and others imitate). you could do every rubber bushing on the car for like $400....compare that to prices from the dodge dealer. they'll want $100 for one item....if they even carry it still!

Thanks! A quick glance at that polybushings site looks amazing.

I also saw the polybushing website. But I am not sure whether the later K-series bushings that are being produced would fit the 1981 car. I think 81-83 might be different.

The main problem I would have with the part from Polybushings is that their bushings replace the rubber part, but fit inside the steel shell of the original bushing, and my shells are rusted apart. I might have to try to find the original complete bushing.
