I came across this interesting listing.

Nice shape and only $600. Notice front wheels 5 lug nut version - rear wheels 4 lug nut.

Boy would I love to have that one. I think the front wheels have a plastic hubcap, hence the five ersatz lug nuts. Pretty rare car in pretty good shape.

That explains it. I though maybe it had replacement hubs.

Also, note the KPH speedometer since its a Canadian market model. Is it considered early 81 or late 81 since it has the embleem embedded into the hood? Fender says Aries advertisement says Reliant?

The front grill is definitely Aries. It might be an early model. I believe they went with a stand up ornament later on. Justin is probably better versed on these early models.

And these early models are mostly extinct now. This year is my dream car, once I make enough money, since I was born in 1981. I don't care that its slow, I love the ingenuity, luxurious comfort, spartan dash,
and its just so unique for 81. And yes, half the 81s did not come with stand-up hood ornaments. There were a lot of subtle changes during the 12 months which makes these cars now particulary rare. The best we can do is lobby this sellers ad and promise to give him a gift card if he yields us a new member. I will be mailing an In-n-Out gift card to the friendly seller in Riverside who actually sold nearly the last 85 Caravelle to our new member up north in Ripon, California. This couple is very nice, our working on restoring the Caravelle, and have other Mopars on their property. They even want to invite me and my brothers to dinner
at their house the next time I get a chance to drive up to Sacramento. They even have a Dodge Dart with 600,000 miles. Its good stuff like this that makes all the hard work we do worthwhile. :D
