Neighborhood near my office is a RARE hideout
of true American classic cars in carkilling California.
I took a 3 mile walk today and walked among these
cars that I loved:
1973 Ford LTD 4dr Sedan
1973 Ford LTD Wagon with 5 other 60s-70s
classics hiding under a tarp
1966 Dodge Coronet Sedan
A rare Peugot 304 wagon from some far off past
1988 Ford Crown Victoria Wagon
1980s Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 4dr Sedan
1973 Ford Torino
1978 Dodge Aspen Sedan with a 70s Camaro behind
it and a dead 60s Chrysler New Yorker
They are also a few others that were not there
today such as a 70s Oldsmobile Cutlass Coupe
and a few others.
This area is truly a rare goldmine of cars saved
from the evil forces that have almost wiped out these
cars successfully forever. I love this neighborhood.
All cars above except for the ones under tarps
and in the back of driveways are currently renewed
through 2011! Also, NONE of the cars are restored.
They are original Cali cars with faded paint and
some rust started in the typical crevices of these cars.
Also, both LTDs had steering wheel locks like their
was a fear of theft. This is without a doubt a rare
neighborhood where people thought twice about
junking automotive history. Here are some old photos
of just a sample of this neighborhood I took a
few months ago!
