VW Beetle

Postby Evilsmuff » Fri Jul 09, 2010 2:31 pm

I realise it's no K-Car, but it's nice to see some of these kicking around too. Found it parked just down the street from my house. I want one of these!

I have 3 friends into the aircooled VWs, so I see them all the time. Never did much for me but I did try to buy a Karman Ghia Convertible for $10 when I was 14 but my Dad wouldn't let me. Also my older sisters 1st car was a 63 Bug, so I learned how to drive a stick when I was 15 on one.

I found an emptied shell of a vw 611? i believe in a small hamlet called rosebud. it was either a 5 or a 6. Stationwagon with the proper mounts for the porche flat 6. i almost bought it but i didn't have a way to move it or to store it. older cars have always tantilised me. almost bought an 82 volvo off of kijiji for 200 bucks once. vacuum leak. easyish fix, depending... so sleek looking. i can still tinker under the hood of one of those without frying the computer or something. and the space? oh. why did the world have to go digital? conveinience sucks man lol

WOW! That IS an old school Chrysler. And it looks to be in beautiful shape, too. Nice!

The VWs you can have- no judgment, just an I've had-em I don't want-em you can have-em scenario.
