Today, I drove to Palm Springs Air Museum where it was 114 in the desert on a 300 mile drive. I strategically parked under a tree and had both windows down on the freeway with HOT HOT air blowing through. Was afraid I might overheat going up the hill, but the guage only climbed slightly at fast cruising. Anyway, part of the journey included picking up my staff sargeant in Orange County where there are the last surviving unloved cars left in car killing Cali. I saw sooooo much and I was overjoyed. Here is what I saw:

1. Two 1980s Buick Century Sedans driving in 110 plus temps in Palm Springs
2. Four 1980s Lincoln Towncars. One of them had a blown tire on the side of the freeway/
3. 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera (driving)
4. 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Sedan (driving)
5. Two 1980s Caprices (driving)
6. 1985-1989 Dodge Aries Sedan (driving)
7. 1986-1988 Chrysler LeBaron Sedan Red (driving)
8. 1986-1988 Chrysler LeBaron Sedan Blue (driving)
9. Immaculate 1980s Dodge Diplomat parked.
10. Green 1979 Ford Fairmont Sedan (driving)
11. Parked 1978 Plymouth Volare Sedan
12. 1969 Ford LTD 2dr Coupe driving
13. Two 80s Ford Crown Vic Wagons driving
14. A couple 50s cars driving
.......
If it seems to be mostly 80s stuff, its because 80s are endangered inSoCal, pick-a-part is running out of them, and you have to have money, brains, or both, to be able to have a classic here. 8) Also,
thats what I saw. Did also see a 70s Toyota Corona Coupe and a souped-up 70s Chevelle and some others.
