Huge lot of Ks

I was driving to get new tires for my van and ran across this lot in the industrial area where the tire wharehouse is. snapped a few pics and just as I was leaving the guy pulled up with another 600 ragtop on a trailer. He collects (and saves from the crusher) Lebaron and 600 ragtops. He has 1 t&c Turbo wagon and just a couple of these are 600s. Almost all of them are Lebarons. Some are parts cars but most are running cars.

Yeah, talked to the guy. Uses Craigs list, ebay, local paper. Been doing it for awhile.

There are probably stashes like this all over the country. Not just K-cars, but others as well. There is a guy who advertises on Craigslist in Mn. thats looking for 74-78 Mustang 2's. A few years ago near Detroit, I saw a lot full of Vegas. There is a guy in Hemmings who advertises 12 to 15 K-car convertables every month.

Probably because its too expensive. With most old cars, in most parts of the country, indoor storage costs quickly exceed the value of the car.
