Good work Charles. Even when I don't think the owner is interested, I'll tag the car just for the fun of it, unless a vagrant lives in it or it looks like its owned by a criminal, lol. 8-)

Is that a big "K" I see behind that mirror? What a coincidence.

Great Job Charles. Two days ago, I followed a 1986-1988 Chrysler LeBaron Sedan, discreetly of course, and ended up nailing the residential address as it pulled into
the driveway. Was able to safely get out and hand the lady a flier. She has not joined yet. I literally follow cars, when I can safely, tag parked ones, and I have already
lost count how many I have tagged. Probably about 100 or so since 2007. In 2007, it was much easier, but now its much harder. Time marches on. 8-)

California is destroying all the post76 cars through programs like cash for clunkers, smog controls,
and every incentive they can to make the wasteful citizens forget frugality and just clunk it. I am very upset that I now can't find any 1st gen Ks here, unless they are woody or convertible, because in the last three years they just simply became extinct. Many of them were nice mint ones, but the owners did not care. I can't find a LeBaron sedan before 85. We have ONE 82 LeBaron Coupe in all SoCal, and it is safe in the hands of active member George Nerrie of Hollywood. We have ONE 81 K that is safe in the hands of another member. Also, the car leftists at CARB reduced smog passing limits 35% last year, secretly, making it almost impossible for an 80s car to pass smog unless it runs like a new car. The only reason any beaters exist now is because they belong to the frugal poor, i.e. , many of them Mexicans, and they have to use illegal smog shops to pass. However, CARB now is putting agents into these places as spies to shutdown the illegal smog shops, fine the owners $1,000,000, and put them in jail for a year. Basically, we have to know friends and spread word of mouth to those we can trust to help us keep our cars without tipping off CARB. I about blew a gasket when they reduced passing NO limits for my K-car from 129 down to 89 and I barely passed at 86. If they do it again, there will be massive hardship. Also, our only member with the 81K in California had to pay $500-1000 to get his 81 carb to pass smog as it can't be done without massive diagnosis and trial and error. Also, the reason I know all you guys in other states have way more K-cars then we do is because I see all these sales back east, but almost none here. Also, you can now trade in a K-car or a 1932 Duesenburg in California to CARB for $2500-5000. :(
