While being a professional auto tech for over 20 yrs, I've seen ALOT of DANGEROUS situations concerning safety issues. Rusted out brake lines and rotten brake hoses, rusted out fuel tanks and lines ( fire hazards ), rotten fuel hoses. Frozen brake calipers with bleeder valve that will break off with you try to bleed them, rotten ex. systems filling the inside of the car with ex. It's one thing to love a car, but another thing to DIE for it. Not to mention structual weaking due to rust, Toyota had to buy back ALOT of trucks for this problem alone. Fuel leaks due to dried out aged carb gaskets etc. etc. etc. So take all this into consideration when giving advice on saving a car or not.
