Two project Ks near my house.

Postby 89ARIES » Tue Aug 04, 2009 11:46 pm

There are two dead K cars that I know of that have been practically
abandoned. Both our station wagons. One of them is an 80s
LeBaron TC Wagon that sits covered in dust and cobwebs in front
of an auto repair place near my office. It has been parked there
and untouched for years. I am very surprised it hasn't been crushed
like the rest of them. I plan to stop at the shop, talk the owner, and
inquire about his plans for the K.

The other one is a dead 1982 Dodge Aries Wagon visible in someone's
front yard behind a chain link fence. I know it has been there at least
6 years. The tires are submerged a few inches. Oddly enough, in the
next house over, I saw another identical wagon that has since disappeared.

With the new repair meet I am building, I would love to find a way
to get these two wagons, make it a club project, get them running, and
then sell them (preferably to a Mopar or club member). My thinking would
be everyone contribute what they can afford and then the sales profit would
be allocated to each according to what they put in. Of course, I would have
liability release forms.

What are your thoughts? It would certainly make for some cool vids
and what not to spruce up our forum.

you could fix up the 82 and use it for a promotional K-car Get it all Restored and then put www.chryslerkcar.com on the sides of it in vinyl, and the TC wagon could also be the same.

Many, problems can arise when a car sits for years. A better project will be that woody conv. of tom's, trash the 2.6 and do a T2 conversion. Talk him into giving you the car.
Mopar or No car. Tires and Tits, Rock on.
