Poorly looking grille and bumper moldings

Postby ReliantLV » Fri Apr 11, 2008 7:42 pm

I cleaned all the moldings today and they look a LOT more cheerful now; however, the grille and the bumper molding could not be helped....

I will probably buy a new grille later, but for now there are more pressing matters. Is there anything I can do with these two problems meanwhile? Has anyone used this "chrome effect" spray paint? Would it last through the rain, sun rays etc? Applying a new layer of chrome on it is not an option, it would cost almost $500 for a piece of this size. Could the bumper molding just be painted carefully using black paint? the other bits of this element are fine, it's just the parts on the both bumpers that look so awful.

Thanks in advance!
