2.2/2.5 engine

im thinking this, the 1986 and some 1987 models had the map sensor down in the kick panel and the ECU located by the left front fender, and in 1988 they switched to a whole new system, because my 1988 with a 2.5 doesnt chug at idle, but my 86 with the old setup does it.
