i found that alot of parts have date markers. there was one on the top of my throttle body one on the back side of my light bezels and some other places if they are original to the car it might give you an idea. it'll be a circle with the year in the center and dots around the edge each dot is a month most of my car was made in may of 85 so i have a feeling it was built pretty close to then.

The engine serial pad has a date code included. The transmission ID also has a date code included.

As far as I know, the only simple way to get the build date is from the sticker on side door. Getting the build date from the engine block or transmission plate involves look up tables. Its kind of difficult it post alot of information at this Website. Send me a private message with your e-mail address and I will send you a PDF copy of the relevant pages from my 1988 Dealer parts book -when I get a chance after work tonight.

Check on Carfax to see when it was first registered.Usually 2-6 months before would be build date (approx).

i have a copy of the of the original order form for my 86 aries wagon. it is dated feb 1986 so i would guess the car was built around feb-march. it was a lease car in florida for 2 years and then shipped to chrysler dealer in portsmouth, nh where my parents bought it in november 1988.

i just picked up a 1986 aries dealer brochure on ebay and my car has every option group which includes:

2.5 / auto
6 passenger
tilt / cruise / locks
rear wiper / bumper overrides / roof rack
light cream paint /wood applique "delete"
bumper overrides / roof rack

Strange how those stickers did that.Mine is intact and not peeling, yet you cannot read one character at all.
Guess they didnt plan on them lasting much beyond 5-6 years anyway.
